Student Identification Badges
Conroe isd sso will introduce some exciting initiatives this school year. Covering 348 square miles, Conroe ISD serves over 73,000 students at 67 campuses.
Identification badges have now become mandatory for junior high and secondary school students in the district, in an effort to reduce unidentified visitors and keep track of who’s on campus more easily, according to Dan Davis, member of the district’s safety and security committee. Davis noted how easier it would be for administrators and police officers to locate missing pupils with this new requirement in place.

There may be one book out there capable of covering suicide, molestation, domestic abuse, homosexuality, drug use, mental issues and first sexual experiences without sounding like a Lifetime movie; unfortunately this one isn’t it. Though there are some noteworthy points herein, its narrative’s narcissism and misunderstood anger are quite exhausting.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower was released as a film in 2012 starring Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, and Ezra Miller. Host a movie night with your book club to analyze differences between book and film versions and discuss how these themes relate to personal lives.

Their Board of Trustees holds final authority for school affairs within limits established by Texas law, while trustees are elected biannually from within their community for four year terms.
The district is investing over 10 million in classrooms through high speed internet access and curriculum-based software, giving teachers both new and veteran a chance to better organize lessons, use technology effectively, teach interactive and engaging classes and receive staff development funding that provides educational models and new perspectives on their craft. Furthermore, teachers from other campuses will collaborate together on creating best practices and implementing them successfully.

Blakelock reports that CISD meets all the requirements set out by House Bill 3, yet needs further clarity from the state regarding certain terms that could potentially be open to interpretation. Furthermore, more training for staff members was noted.
Blakelock references Sir Robert Peel’s three core ideas of modern policing as the basis of his approach: preventing crime, earning community support and respecting community principles – principles which Blakelock intends to uphold as head of school police in Conroe ISD. “I’ll continue doing what I do,” said Blakelock. “You won’t see me enforcing tardies or kids wearing hats in hallways like other schools do; instead I will continue using an anonymous alert app. CISD does not discriminate on any basis of race, color national origin sex religion age or disability when making educational programs or employment decisions or employment related matters relating to employment matters or employment related decisions.
